Beagleboard.org and Seeed Studio unveil the new Beaglebone Green

First look at the new Beaglebone Green Embedded Linux Development Board.

The Beaglebone Green is official!

Beaglebone.org and Seed Studio have just announced the new Beaglebone Green, the first major derivative of the wildly popular Beaglebone Black. The Beagle Bone Green is being produced by Seeed Studio, and is a highly modified design based on the Beaglebone Black. The board features two Grove System connectors, which make attaching Seeed's Grove modules quick and easy. Another major addition to the board is a battery backed up Real Time Clock (RTC), and the company has replaced the barrel jack power connector with a standard micro USB. Finally, the Seed has ditched the HDMI connector as it was rarely utilized in most projects. [node:read-more:link]

BeagleBone Black RSS News Reader Built With Drupal

In his latest posting on Element14.com, TMWB founder Charles Gant takes us into the world of Drupal as translated to the BeagleBone Black. Charles configures a traditional LAMP server on the BeagleBone Black as the stock lighhttpd configuration was proving to be troublesome. The tutorial coveres the entire process of building a desktop RSS News Reader from the ground up using  nothing but a BeagleBone Black, the BB View_70* Optional, and the Drupal CMS webframework. Charles covers the basics of getting started with Drupal as well and overall the tutorial is one of the most informative we have ever seen. Head over to Element14.com and check it out!   [node:read-more:link]
